The Belle Hendrik Quartet
Featuring the music that influenced a generation…with a special tribute to Aretha Franklin. One of our region’s most outstanding blues singers Belle Hendrik will perform songs from Etta James, Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Koko Taylor, Bessie Smith, Ruth Brown, Memphis Minnie, Nina Simone and many more!
Having released 3 CDs and played countless shows here and in the UK, Belle recently starred in “Pearl” –The Janis Joplin Rockumentary as well as fronting big band, “The WellSwung Daddies”. Along with John Hill on piano and vocals, Dave Sanders on drums and multi-instrumentalist Mark Bromley on double bass, guitar and fiddle – these fine musicians will present “From Blues to Soul, Songs That Changed Me”, with a hint of jazz!
